Adrian is an experienced technology executive with 25 years of experience building and scaling technology companies across many different industries. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer at Groq Inc, an AI hardware company, which he joined shortly after formation in 2016 and helped scale to one of the leading startups in that space. Prior to Groq, Adrian spent several years both investing in and founding technology focused companies in North America and internationally with a focus on helping them scale organizationally as well as operationally. Adrian began his career at Cypress Semiconductor where he spent 14 years leading various marketing, finance, and operations functions. Adrian graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Andrew Berkeley brings over 20 years of experience in the optical and medical imaging space. He has held technical and leadership roles at multiple start-up companies with responsibilities in market development, new product introduction, product development and service, and business development. Andrew holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Institute of Technology Tallaght and a Masters in Optical Electronic Engineering from the University of Hull.

Prior to joining Perimeter, Tom was President of Summit Industries, LLC for the past nine years. Summit is a privately held Niles, Illinois based developer, manufacturer and distributor of radiographic systems for the medical, chiropractic and veterinary market segments. Tom has over 40 years of sales, product management and senior management experience with global, mid-size, public and privately held companies that manufacture and distribute consumables, devices and services for the healthcare market. He had five years expatriate experience in England responsible for Eastman Kodak Company’s Healthcare Imaging’s analog business in Europe, Africa and the Middle East and three years expatriate experience in Canada prior to joining Summit Industries. He is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College in Ohio with a degree in Business Administration and served two years active duty in the U.S. Army.

Sara Brien
Chief Financial Officer

Passionate about healthcare and improving patient outcomes, Sara is an accomplished finance leader with over 20 years of experience in finance, accounting and operations, in a variety of healthcare verticals including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, diagnostics, MedTech and HealthTech. Most recently, she was Chief of Staff/VP of Strategic Finance for Caresyntax, a company empowering surgeons and providers to improve patient outcomes, enhance operational efficiency and increase profitability with data-driven surgery using AI, automation and OR analytics.

Sara holds a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation, and graduated with honors from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Masters of Management Science with a focus on operations. Recently, she was a Sloan Fellow at the London Business School, where she completed a Masters in Leadership and Strategy program.

Dr. Sarah Butler

Dr. Sarah Butler brings to Perimeter extensive healthcare industry experience and a reputation as an expert in global medical education and scientific communication, healthcare systems, clinical trial strategy, conduct, and compliance in clinical and industry environments. Most recently, Dr. Butler was a RAQA (Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance) Executive for IBM Watson Health, where she led the development of clinical strategic programs and products in the Watson Health Imaging Division.

Previously, since 2013, Dr. Butler has provided leadership and medical expertise guiding the development of clinical strategic programs and products in the fields of infectious disease, oncology, companion diagnostics, medical genetics, and clinical genetics testing at companies including Abbott Inc. and Illumina, Inc. From May 2009 to September 2013, Dr. Butler was Director of the Clinical Cytogenetics Diagnostic Laboratory at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

Dr. Butler has a Bachelor of Science in Biology-Genetics from Heidelberg College and a PhD in Biomedical Biology-Molecular Genetics and Molecular Physiology from the University of Dayton. Dr. Butler was a Clinical Post-doctoral Cytogenetics Fellow at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Carl Gazdzinski
Vice President, Engineering & Manufacturing

Mr. Gazdzinski brings over 16 years of progressive experience in medical device engineering and development. He has worked in technical and leadership roles in which ground-up technology innovation was hardened into product suitable for manufacturing and subsequently launched commercially with success. Carl has a proven track record of contributing to and leading dynamic teams that execute on deliverables and build value. He provides experience spanning both start-up and established OEM environments, including team leadership through merger and acquisition. Carl holds a B.Sc. in Biology, B.Eng. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Sc. in Medical Biophysics (all from the University of Western Ontario).

Adam brings more than 20 years of commercialization experience in the medical device industry. His recent positions have focused on advancing category-first, novel technologies that challenge the clinical standard of care and add value to the healthcare system.

Previously, he was Vice President of Sales at SIA Health, leading the commercial acceleration of DuraSorb,® which was acquired by Integra LifeSciences (NASDAQ: IART) in December 2022. Prior to that, Adam was VP of Strategic Accounts for Vapotherm (NYSE: VAPO), driving core commercial acceleration and identifying and growing adjacent markets for a novel respiratory therapy technology.
